Meet your Artist & Educator
Marissa ‘Mari’ Ramirez began her journey in the lash industry in 2020, shortly after graduating from the University of New Mexico’s School of Architecture + Planning. With a deep love and appreciation for her own lash extensions, the leap from client to provider was made, and there was no looking back.
Mari received her Esthetics license from Toni & Guy Hair Dressing Academy (Paul Mitchell) and holds active licensure with the New Mexico State Board of Barber’s & Cosmetologists. Initial lash extension training and education were completed with Elizabeth Saryan, owner of Yegi Beauty, in 2020. Shortly thereafter, Mari completed a second lash extension training program with Vanessa Molica, owner of The Lash Professional, in 2021.
Between 2022 and 2023, the focus was on perfecting the basics and building a clientele, with additional continuing education completed with Lanna Lashes, LashesbyReb, Dashlashez, LBLA, PoisedLux, and Linslashdesign.
In 2023, Mari opened Aesthete Atelier, an intimate lash design studio, combining architectural knowledge and expertise with lash extension skills. After reaching 10,000 hours of practical experience in 2024, Mari received her Lash Educator certification from Levi Shephard, owner and founder of NALA - National Association of Lash Artists. A few months later, a Lash Artist Member certification was also received from ALA - American Association of Lash Artists, an organization dedicated to maintaining high standards, values, and ethics within the lash industry.
Mari’s main focal points as an educator are to provide exceptional foundational education to the next generation of lash artists, pioneer change within the city and state for more stringent regulations and protocols for aspiring lash artists and educators and inspire and mentor the next generation of lash artists to enter and sustain their careers in the industry with intention, purpose, ethics, and integrity.
